All Exhibitor Booths Booked for 2011 Midwinter Clinic!
Our VDDS Annual Conference and Tradeshow, Midwinter Clinic, taking place Friday, December 9 at the Westin Bayshore, is VDDS' premier event of the season for the dental community and you don't want to miss out! Attendee Registration is up and all Exhibitor Booths are fully booked. Our Final Exhibitor List is now posted on our website.
We hope that you and your dental team members are going to attend! Please download our Registration Form and fax or e-mail it back to our office. Regular Registration Deadline is Friday, December 2. ($15 Administrative Fee will be charged for registrations received after deadline.)
Co-Chaired by Dr. Esther Tam and Dr. Joy Maru, VDDS is excited to present another stellar line-up of speakers and lectures for this year's clinic. Salon A will feature oral pathologist Dr. Samson Ng and his presentation for the entire dental team: "Another Way of Looking at Lumps and Bumps in the Mouth." Susan Isaac (RDH, BScN) is up next with her provocative title, "You've Been Slimed!" ... emerging biofilm science and therapeutic decisions.
Salon D will feature wide-screen presentations, opening with Dr. Ken Neuman and Dr. Scott Yamaoka, and their talk on dental implants. Dr. Matt Illes will then give his fascinating lecture on restorative dentistry: "Enhancing Predictability in Anterior Esthetics ... Strategies to Reduce the Incidence of Premature Porcelain Failure."
The Cypress Room (on the second level) will host Dr. David Gane and his presentation on "Getting Started with Cone-Beam CT," ... 3D imaging in dentistry. Next, the College of Dental Surgeons of BC with President, Dr. Bob Coles and Registrar, Ms. Heather McKay will host a forum/discussion relating to regulatory and legal issues in the profession. New to this year's Midwinter Clinic is VDDS' first ever Silent Auction. Proceeds will support an increased endowment of the VDDS Ludlow Beamish Ethics Award which is given to a 3rd year dental student each year. We have already received several fabulous items to entice the bidder, including Fine Dining Experiences, NHL Canuck Hockey Tickets and the Test Drive of a New Ferrari! (If you or your company have an item that you would like to donate to the Silent Auction, please contact VDDS Board Member Dr. Vivian Chow or Gerri Randall at the VDDS office.)
Our traditional Festive Luncheon, always a crowd favourite, will be held in the Stanley Park Ballroom ... enjoy a Live Musical Performance this year featuring international singer and pianist, Robyn McCorquodale, VDDS' new Communications Manager.
