Authoritative Listing Feeds and MLS Certified®
Nearly not a day passes that someone doesn't bring up the subject of an inaccurate listing on some website. Lots of confusion on who is responsible and lots of ideas on how to best address the issue.
The bottom line is that as long as listing feeds coming from non MLS sources are prioritized by some third party portals, for one reason or another, duplication and inaccuracies will continue to sporadically surface, every now and then.
Let's remind ourselves as we consider this subject that while it is extremely important that we continue to introduce ideas and initiatives to enhance data accuracy, that many online and brick and mortar businesses must at times issue corrections for a wrong price on an item in a flyer, and the like. Erroneous listings or price information is not an issue restricted to real estate, and we must keep this in perspective so as not to distract us, as industry leaders and decision makers, from bigger picture, higher ROI opportunities.
As more MLSs adopt the MLS Certified® initiative, which labels all your listings and photos with the MLS Certified® logo when fed to our syndication partners, more consumers will learn to look for those listings for added confidence, and more third party sites will realize that the ultimate authoritative feed they must prioritize, is the MLS.
On this note, we are very excited to announce that we have now been granted U.S. Registration No. 4,127,089, by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), for the MLS Certified® trademark and related communication.

Live Education and Sales Events
Point2's senior team hit the road hard this past month running training and sales events for several of our Association clients around the country. The events are held at no charge to your members and are designed to deliver up to date winning marketing strategies and tactics they can apply to their business right away, using the Point2 Syndication and Agent platform.
At these events, we also present exclusive subscription packages attendees cannot refuse, and with that, the MLS or Association's residual monthly payments increase, and everybody wins.

Point2 University Intros First eLearning Course
Point2 has created a complimentary course on our new eLearning platform (LCMS). This is the very first course offered by Point2 University! As part of our launch, we are offering 'Syndication Basics', an overview of Syndication and its use in the real estate industry. This is a course that will help you and your members see the benefits and features of the strong syndication technology and tools that Point2 uses to push member listings to over 50 advertising channels.
The course will also cover best practices along with details on how listing syndication benefits all participants in the real estate transaction.
