Life Long Learning Classes for Adults
Greetings!

We are excited about our next 2 months of special events - an astronomer, fun with 8 Foot River Band and a holiday musical event! 

Our next session of the Library's new program - "Enriching Life and Increasing Knowledge" is Nov. 11.
 
These sessions are from 10 am till noon. All are for adults and free.
 
 
Pre-registration is required as class sizes are limited. 


Evening events are OPEN for all and do not need pre-registration.

Astronomy for Everyone:
Size & Scale of the Universe 

Tuesday November 8th
6:30 pm

Kevin Manning, the Comet Whisperer, astrophysicist and former consultant to NASA  

haley's comet  

Learn about celestial wonders using hands on activities,  

then head outside to view beauties of the sky (weather permitting.)

(bring a beverage to share for a relaxed chat time).

  • For non-artists wanting to learn.  
  • Relaxed introductory session to the drawing and sketching process.

Session taught by Cynthia Gray,  

artist and certified Art teacher.

    

Writing a Memoir
 Friday November 18
  • For people who want to share a part of their life experience on paper.
  • No previous writing experience required.  

Session taught by Marion Roach Smith, writer.

Holiday Ornaments and Pins Made From Zippers
Friday December 2

 

Learn how to make SIX wonderful ornaments and / or four pins by folding and stitching recycled or new zippers.

Bagpipes, Celtic harp, Irish pennywhistle, and other tradional instruments bring the festivities of a lost time back to life.
