What's New at
Welcome to the January What's New e-News.Can you believe it is 2011? Time really does fly. Happy New Year!

Music makes the cold winter months a little cozier, and that's the way it is here at Poet's Seat. We kicked off the New Year with a wonderful and musical Noon Year's Eve Party, and then continued the celebration into the first weeks of January.

Ethan Stone performed at the January Morning Social on

alyspiano
Alys Terrien Queen

January 3rd, entertaining us with his melodic voice and eclectic style. We continued on a musical note with Classical Music Hour with Alys Terrien Queen on January 5. Alys is one of our resident family members and she entertained us with lovely classical piano music. The beat continued on Friday, January 7 with Music Memories with Rachel. Both Poet Seat's long- and short-term residents look forward to this event whenever we schedule it.

We love celebrating, and we particularly love ringing in birthdays with a monthly Birthdays Bash. January birthdays will be celebrated on the 14th with music and entertainment with Chuck Wilson.

How can Bingo get any better? With Riddle Me BINGO on January 20. If you solve the riddle, you get a bigger prize. Lots of fun...so, do not miss! We go on the air Friday, January 28th with Drew Paton's Musical Radio Show at 6:30 p.m.

Other offerings on our busy January calendar include: National Clothes Clashing Day (plaids, loud colors and strips encouraged!), the Tea & Cookie Book Club, Music & Movement, Kick Ball, Picture for a Sunday Afternoon Film Series, Amazing Facts Group, Arts & Crafts Time, Big Ball Bowling and The Crock Pot Soup Off. You can view the complete January Activities Calendar on our website www.pshcc.com.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU...

We want send out a warm thank you to those who came to our Pancakes with Santa Community Breakfast in December. The residents enjoyed the extra company and excitement of friends and family, especially all the children that showed up to meet Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. It was a real joy, and a delightful success that raised money for our Resident Activity Fund.

Warm Wishes for a Wonderful New Year!
