We've had some fun times the last month or so, and we're looking forward to our community breakfast the end of March.

Poet's Seat Residents' Art Show
Please stop by and see our residents' wonderful artwork on display at Franklin County Technical School in Turners Falls. You can make an afternoon of it and have lunch at  The Apprentice Restaurant, a project of the school's Culinary Arts Program. We honor our residents' hard work, and give special thanks to art therapist Madeline Liebling for her inspiration. If lunch is part of your exhibit-viewing plans, please call the school for the menu, restaurant hours and prices, 413-863-9561.

Walk for Meals on Wheels
Many elder citizens in Franklin County and the North Quabbin rely on Meals on Wheels to deliver a hot, nutritious noontime meal to their homes. Drivers also provide a visual check to assure elders are safe and caregivers have peace of mind. Help support Franklin County Home Care Corporation's (FCHCC)important program by getting a walking team together! The staff of Poet's Seat is looking forward to participating and supporting this crucial program. To sign up your own team, click here. "It's not just about the care...it's about the caring."
Did you know...
... that Poet's Seat offers a Respite Program?
Well, we do! The Respite Program is available to all people needing continuous support and nursing care. We work with individuals, caregivers and physicians to establish:
  • A diagnoses
  • An appropriate list of medications and treatments
  • A healthy diet with attention to any dietary restrictions
  • A desirable short-term goal
  • An estimated length of stay and a potential date of discharge
Whether residents want or need a three-day or a month- long stay, we are here for you. Poet's Seat Health Care Center's goal is to offer an intimate, nurturing environment to residents, their caregivers, families and friends.

Poet's Seat Health Care Center's staff is dedicated to providing compassionate care and to enhancing the quality of life of residents placed under our care. Through an interdisciplinary team approach, Poet's Seat's professional staff works together to deliver programs and services that create an environment of wellness and healing. Our values of compassion, justice, and respect for human dignity support our goal to bring each resident to their highest level of functioning within their individual limitations.
