2011 Vision Missions Trip ...

"Paccii!" they shouted, (Pah-cheh ... the Romanian word for peace,a Christian greeting, followed by a warm embrace with a kiss on both cheeks. Our Romanian brothers and sisters in the Lord were so excited to see all of us.
Over the next few days we shared our faith stories in church services and accompanied Pastor Marius as he officiated at a Christian funeral in an Orthodox family home. Later in the week some team members led several family members to the Lord. We enjoyed teaching English with spiritual truths to the Bible Club Children and delivering groceries to the poor.
What a blessing and privilege for those who send and those who go, to be used as the hands and feet of Jesus.

ICMS Annual Conference ...
Kathi and I returned from the 2011 Vision Trip in time for the International Christian Mission Services conference held at Bakerview Church. We had a blessed time meeting with many of the other ministry agents. There are now twenty-four agencies serving in sixteen countries around the wo rld. We attended some very informative workshops, one on "Dependency on Jesus vs. Dependency on Mammon." Mankind's natural tendency is to worship and trust in the god of materialism and wealth (mammon). Jesus has something to say about this in Matthew 6:24 ..."No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Come out to bless and be blessed ... The Young Street Vocal Band will be in concert for Tabita Ministries Romania, Saturday Evening, November 5th 7:00 PM at Grace Church, 2085 McMillan Rd., Abbotsford. Doors open at 6:00PM.
Your heart will be touched as they blend rich harmonies in Southern Gospel style. Kathi will also be singing along with our friends Kim & Linda. Bring your friends.
