Our ministry trip to Romania was a wonderful experience and very fruitful in spite of travel disruptions, things not going the way we planned and health issues.

 

This trip reminded us, again, that our efforts for Kingdom work are pretty puny at times, that's when God uses our weakness to prove Himself strong and all the glory belongs to Him.

 Learning for Life Center ...
 
LFLC2010The exterior finishing of the Learning for Life Center has begun.   First a layer of cement is being applied over the bricks to level out the surface and then Styrofoam insulation will be fastened to the walls.  A final coat of stucco will be applied finishing the exterior.  Upon completion of the exterior the interior walls of the apartment will be seal coat.  Once these steps are completed the lower level meeting room and kitchen will be fully operational even if the apartment is not entirely finished.  See latest construction pictures ... Sharing With Chalk Talks & Music ...

We had a blessed time sharing testimony and Bible lessons for a youth rally at Biserica Crestina Baptista Ciacova.  During the week we held a Children's Bible Camp using Chalk Talks and Music to teach children the basics of creation, sin, salvation and spiritual

warfare.   They were very responsive and received spiritual truth that will stay with them for life because the Word of God never returns void.  Isa.55:11  They enjoyed Kathi teaching them a song in English and learning scriptures.  Pastor Marius translated and Tabita lead the music.  These children are the future of the church.  Many have accepted Jesus and are learning to serve Him.

As you may know Government help for the needy in Romania is minimal.  Emergency Food and Clothing  distribution is one of Tabita Ministries' programs.  When a need arises, and funds are available, bags of staple food items are purchased and given.   This not only helps with physical needs but there is great hope in knowing that someone cares.  Kathi and I had the opportunity to deliver groceries and visit with some of the people recieving help.  This program is a practical way to demonstrate the Love of Christ.

Enterprise Land
On the first Saturday of our time in Romania the youth from several villages came together for a Youth Rally.  We had a wonderful time celebrating Kathi's birthday in the Learning for Life Center.  That evening Milton shared his testimony Chalk Talk with the youth.  They are so very grateful and excited to have a place to meet in the Learning for Life Center.  See Pictures ...  
 
 
Child Sponsorship ...

Enterprise Land
A Bible School and English teaching program is in the planning stage.  There are about 30 children eligible to be part of this program.  These children need to be sponsored on a monthly basis so they can participate.  Details for sponsorship will be coming in the near future.  We are also looking for a mission minded individual or couple who would initiate and facilitate this program in Romania.  If you are interested or know of someone please contact us at tabitaministries@gmail.com or phone Milton @ 604.854.1011.  
 
 
 
 
Family Visitation ...
 
Family VisitHaving visitors from Canada come to their home for a meal is a great honor for Romanians.  Almost every evening we had an invitation and were treated with great love and respect.  And the FOOD!  Romanian women are excellent cooks and prepare their very best.  We have wonderful fellowship and feel so much at home:part of their family.  What a blessing!  See Pictures ...
