Why Romania?
It has been 20 years since the fall of Communism in Romania. Economic progress, although slow in coming, is beginning in certain areas of the country. The European Commission has praised Romania's progress in tackling human trafficking (although still prevalent), improving detention conditions and child protection. But remember the old adage 'the rich get richer and the poor get poorer'. This former Eastern Bloc country brutalized by the Ceausescu dictatorship is leaving many behind. The limited family allowance and old age pensions are far below adequate need and limited progress has been made regarding the treatment of people with disabilities and the integration of minorities.

It is the desire of Tabita Ministries to reach out to the poor in Romania, especially the children, with the love of Jesus in a spiritual and physical way. This type of ministry always seems to have a list of needs, and we know God will "supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory." Of course He still uses Good Samaritans to supply these needs. Thank You to our faithful ministry partners.
