Detroit Bikram Blog has been recently launched! Our first blog post is a timely article about the Bikram Yoga Challenge, written by senior teacher Erika Budson.

"Hydration is a Lifestyle"

Ever feel tired or lethargic during class? Maybe sometimes wobbly or dizzy during or after class? If this happens to you, most likely you are dehydrated.

We all know hydration is important, but many of us don't always properly hydrate so that we can really enjoy the intensity of a Bikram Yoga class. The good news is, it's easy to improve!

In this article, studio Co-Director Jenny Barrett explains that proper hydration comes from a daily lifestyle habit, not just chugging water before or during class. Read on for more tips and information about this absolutely essential aspect of an enjoyable Bikram Yoga practice.

Detroit Bikram is a large community of healthy happy yogis and yoginis.  One in particular is our March Student of the Month, Mimi Braun.  Those who have become regulars over the years know exactly whom I'm talking about.  She is the beautiful brunette that never seems to miss an evening or weekend Bikram Yoga class.  Her deep love for the yoga is seen in her strong practice, which is inspirational to everyone who practices around her...

He is one of the "early-birds" that regularly attends the 6am and 7am classes with no complaints! 30 DAY YOGA CHALLENGE
Since March 1st, over  100 dedicated yogi's participated in the 30 Day Yoga Challenge between the Farmington Hills and Troy studios!

Many of you experienced the primary benefits of the Yoga Challenge: overall improvement and stability in your yoga practice, which translates into better health, well being and vitality in your life.    

If you feel inclined to share your experience of the Yoga Challenge, please
email us your story! We will post your story on our Detroit Bikram Blog to inspire our extended yoga family.

Just for fun, another benefit for Challenge finalists is a Raffle with a chance to win a month of unlimited yoga and other prizes.

If you finished the 30 Day Challenge, make sure you fill out a Raffle ticket in the lobby so you are included in the Raffle drawing.
