Chamber Supports School Levies
The Thurston County Chamber board voted to support the area's three major school districts in their levy requests to voters on the February 9 ballot.
Olympia School District is requesting approval of a $25,255,000, 4-year Capital Projects & Technology levy. www.osd.wednet.edu North Thurston Public Schools is requesting a two-year, replacement Educational Programs levy that would collect $27.5 million in 2011 and $28.9 million in 2012. www.nthurston.k12.wa.us Tumwater School District is requesting a 2-year, replacement levy for Maintenance & Operations in the amount of $11.7 million in 2011 and $12.4 million in 2012. www.tumwater.k12.wa.us

Capitol Leads Hosts Marketing Clinic

The Thurston County Chamber sponsors four leads groups per week that offer a chance to network, share leads and garner business tips with other like-minded professionals. On January 21st at 7:30 a.m. the Chamber's Capitol Leads group will host a breakfast workshop on marketing, including how to make a leads group work for you.
