Fiesta and Blessing of the Vines Fundraiser
Pioneer Woman Museum, Ponca City
Silvertop Farm & Vineyard on April 30, 2011 at 6:30 pm
Silvertop Farm & Vineyard will hold its second annual "Blessing of the Vines" on April 30, 2011 at 6:30 pm in the vineyard located at 6151 W. Fountain Road, southwest of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
The centuries-old European ceremony is performed to ensure robust vines and savory grapes. This tradition made its way to the "New World" in the area known today as El Paso, where Spanish missionaries planted vineyards for ceremonial wines and blessed them.
In connection with the Blessing event, Silvertop Farm & Vineyards will host the second annual "Fiesta of the Vines" to be held at 7:30pm in the "Aqua Shed" on the property. The event is a fundraiser for the Pioneer Woman Museum, featuring both silent and live auction, musical selection by Evan Michaels, and buffet. Admission is $25.00 and seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at the Pioneer Woman Museum or from a board member of the museum. If you have questions about the event, please call (580)765-6108. |
