State Christmas Ornament 2010  - $16.95

The Seal of the State of Oklahoma features a five-pointed star.  The figures and wreath in the center of the star derive from the Great Seal of the Territory of Oklahoma.  Above their heads is Oklahoma's State Motto: Labor Omnia Vincit, or "Labor Conquers All Things."

State Christmas Ornament 2010

Each of the five rays of the star contain the seal of one of the Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma:  The Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Creek and Seminole Nations. Surrounding the large star are 45 smaller stars, representing the 45 states that preceded Oklahoma in statehood.

The State Seal is a reminder that Oklahoma's identity is a blending of cultures.  Our identity was forged by the Native Americans who called Oklahoma home, and by the pioneers who came here looking for a better life.  Today, the Oklahoma Family includes people from diverse cultures who have chosen to make Oklahoma their home.

The Christmas season is a celebration of family.  This year's ornament - The Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma - celebrates not only this joyous time of year, but also the history, culture and unity of the Oklahoma family.
