CREATING SYMMETRY IN A ROOM
Emphasis in interior design can be used to draw one's eyes in a particular direction or
to a specific detail.
For example, if you are working with a room that has a low ceiling vertical stripes can be  introduced so as to make the room seem taller. Vertical stripes will draw the eyes upwards and therefore create vertical emphasis or also known as stress in a design. Alternatively, the use of horizontal stripes would create horizontal stress or emphasis and draw the eyes around the room.

Break it down incrementally so it's not overwhelming, give yourself two hours and work on your shoes first. Then the next free hour, do sweaters. You can get through an average closet in three or four hours.

One of the hottest commodities in a kitchen is cabinet space and people can save a lot of it by storing bulky pots and pans elsewhere. If wall space is scarce, another good option is to go for a hanging pot and pan rack.
