Imbibe Header

DavidHello to all those who Imbibe,

Since we've been touting for the past few weeks about the amazing, age-worthy wines that have been rolling it, we thought it about time to find you something to drink in the meantime.  Here are a few favorites that we've recently received in and are an absolute steal at under $20 a bottle.  Swing by today and stock up!

2010 Flore de Moscato Sweet Muscat - $8.99
For those that love Il Conte d'Alba's Moscato d'Asti and Stella Rosa, here's something new to add to the lineup.   Loaded with bright, lush flavors of candied orange, peach and honeysuckle, this wine displays a sweetness on the palate that make it perfect on its own or with a meal.  For an extra treat, try it as a base for sangrias!

2009 MacMurray Chardonnay - $17.99
Hailing from the Sonoma Coast, quite possibly California's best Chardonnay growing region, the MacMurray Chardonnay is one to take advantage of.  With a microclimate made for perfect ripening and development, this bottling showcases everything that's great about Chardonnay.  This well-balanced wine has a rich, full mouthfeel enveloped in sweet, delicate aromatics of ripe melon and passion fruit. A subtle oak influence imparts flavors of toasted caramel and vanilla that give way to a creamy finish.

2009 Hovey Zinfandel - $19.91
Hovey Winery is a small, family-run business based in Murphy, the heart of California's Gold Country, and with their 2009 vintage have struck "purple gold" in their Zinfandel.  This bottling is the perfect example of what Zinfandel can and should be.  Rich, ripe raspberry jam gives way to spicy black pepper, with complimentary notes of lilac, lavender and chocolate.  For those that are in search of a house Zinfandel, look no further than the Hovey Zin.

2008 Chasing Lions Cabernet Sauvignon - $13.91

We all know Bakersfield loves its big reds, and when we came across the Chasing Lions Cabernet, we jumped on it.  This is a wine for those that are looking for a great, high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon without break the bank.  Black cherry, blackberry, pipe tobacco and brown sugar on the nose, with a healthy tannic backbone that leads to a long, satisfying finish.  In the interest of stocking your cellars, buy by the 6 pack and get it for $11.99 a bottle.

Until next time, keep pullin' those corks!

~David
