Sweet

Summer

Sippers

David Hello to all those who Imbibe,

With warm weather still upon us, and with the American palate steadily growing toward sweeter and more approachable wines, this week's newsletter is dedicated to sweet, Summer quaffers.  These are wines that, like all at Imbibe, are of great value and great quality.  One thing that we especially like about this lineup is that they work well for both backyard parties and as poolside sippers.  Stop in today and pick up a few of each, and we're sure that even your non-wine drinking friends will have a glass in hand at your next party.

2011 Innocent Bystander Moscato - $14.99

A gentle, pretty sparkler. Imbued with red fruits, elderflower and a twist of the exotic, this has an enchanting sweetness which is great both as an aperitif and a dessert wine.  Perfectly balanced with just enough sweetness to entice you with a second glass.

NV I'l Conte d'Alba Moscato d'Asti - $12.99

Moscato d' Asti is made from the Moscato di Canelli grape from the Piedmont region of Italy. This particular one is an Imbibe favorite.  Sweet but not overly sweet with just enough bubbles. Great as an aperitif or with light meals. Refreshing taste of honey and pear, with a clean finish.

NV I'l Conte d'Alba Stella Rosa - $12.99

From the beautiful village of Santo Stefano Belbo in Piedmont comes our delicious Stella Rosa. The flavors jump out as if they'd bottled berry jam, bright fruit and a sweet finish.  With subtle effervesce similar to the Moscato d'Asti, this bottling is a refreshing red wine to be served chilled and accompanied by fresh fruit and cheese.

2010 Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz - $9.99

Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz was born out of the realization that there are not a lot of options available to consumers seeking quality sweet red wine. This fresh, fruity, semi-sweet Shiraz aims to fill that void. Most of the grapes are grown in Paarl, a region of South Africa with a Rhône-like climate that is ideal for Shiraz cultivation.  Jam Jar is sweet perfection... Simple, pure and honest!

NV Tobin James Sparkler - $8.99

A demi-sec California Sparkling Wine built to please.  Light and refreshing, yet full of flavor.  Notes of sweet grapefruit and orange give way to bright green apple and pineapple.  Perfectly refreshing, and so inexpensive that you can have bubbles a few times a week!

Stop in this week for any of the delicious offerings!

Until next time, keep pullin' those corks!

~David
