Imbibe new Don't
 Count New Zealand
 Out!

 David

Hello To All Those Who Imbibe,

This week I had a chance to try two outstanding wines from New Zealand. I have considered both these wines to be the standard for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, and both varietals are what they do best in New Zealand.

First up is the 2010 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough district. This wine is loaded with refreshing tangerine, mango and citrus flavors. On the finish, there are notes of  peach and key lime pie, with a hint of minerality on the finish. This is a great wine for the warmer weather coming just around the corner. Regular Price is $29.99, but for the month of April, we will offer this wine for $24.99. (92/100 WS)

Second up is Craggy Range Pinot Noir. This is a very special bottle of wine that also comes from the Marlborough district from a very prized vineyard named Te Muna Road Vineyard. The 2009 Craggy Range Pinot Noir is one of the stars in a great vintage for New Zealand Reds. In fact, this is possibly the best vintage in the last 22 years from this area for red wines. The copious amount of red fruits, plum, tree bark, floral notes, spice, and earth on the nose is almost intoxicating on its own. In the glass, bright red berries, violets, ruby grapefruit, licorice and exotic spice. This is a great match with Salmon, Pork or Lamb filet. Regular price is 39.99, while supplies last Imbibe price is $32.99. As many of you know I love Pinot Noir and this is one you should try.

Until next time, keep pullin' those corks!

- David
