Imbibe new New Arrivals

and a Last Call, too

Hello to All Those Who Imbibe,
Richard

I just walked the store today and felt like a kid in a candy store. Let me share some of the new and wonderf ul to be had at Imbibe...

We just received the 2007 David Fulton Petite Sirah.  Many have heard me say it, a nd I still stand by it  today, the David Fulton Petite Sirah is the finest in the nation.  The 2007 vintage was very nice to this wine, which is dark with richness, balance and elegance uncommon to this varietal.  At first sip, your palate is overwhelmed with flavors of boysenberry, red raspberry, leather, cloves and black tea.  There were less than 500 cases made for the world, which is hardly enough to meet the demand.  An amazing wine.                                                      $45

With a name like this, I had to try the 2008 Plungerhead Zinfandel and let me tell you, this is one fun powerhouse. Made by Don Sebastiani of the famous Sebastiani Family of Sonoma from old vine vineyards in Lodi, this wine displays loads of fresh crushed berries with hints of oak, cinnamon spice, white pepper and plum.  Brought to us by the same folks who make Hey Mambo and Leese-Fitch wines, both of which made last year's Top 100 list.  There's a very limited supply of this wine, so come and get it before it's all gone.                         $12.99

Next up is a wine that I'm very excited about, the 2005 Richard Perry Cabernet Sauvignon.  I first tried Richard's Cab back when he was selling his 1997 vintage and earning loads of great press.  The 2005 vintage is made by Ken Bernards, a longtime friend and the owner of Ancien Vineyard.  This wine has aromas of raspberry, cassis and blackberry and on the palate you pick up notes of currant, hints of cinnamon, pencil lead and cedar.  We HAD to bring this in once we tasted it, and are thrilled to be able to bring it to you at such an unbelievable price.  Regular price is $49.99, but at Imbibe we'll go $39.91.  This is the perfect wine for drinking now and later; pick up your case today.                          $39.91

Last Call!!!

2006 Sequum Cabernet Sauvignon.  We told you about this wine at the beginning of the year when we named it #1 on our 2010 Top 100 Wines list.  We had to pull in some favors, but we were able to get the last five cases out there and I assure you, it won't last long.  Loads of ripe blackberry, kirsch and raspberry notes.  This is made from some of the same grapes that go into both Caymus Cabernets.  We have sold over 100 cases and they are about to be a perfect memory.  Don't make me say, "I told you so!"                                                              $39.99

Hope to see you at Imbibe or on the wine trail...

Until next time,

 ~ David
