The First Imbibe Beer Run Bus Trip
A Hoppy Happening

Our first Imbibe Beer Run was a great success and all 41 beer enthusiast that participated had their thirst quenched and their appetites appeased by the great hospitality of Kern River Brewery. The beer and food were outstanding thanks to Eric and Rebecca, co-owners of Kern River Brewing Company . Eric handled the beer side and provided a very informative tour and explanation of the brewery's operations. Rebecca kept everyone happy with the delicious food options from their menu.

We had an additional surprise being able to watch the finals of the World Cup, which only added to the camaraderie and fun. A great day and a big thanks to all of  those who attended and made it such a great event. To all of our Imbibers, please keep reading our emails, blogs and twitters, as we will be planning another trip very soon.

Cheers,
Dan 'the beer man' Rainey

2008 Mueller Pinot Noir $27.99
The primary vineyard is located on a well-drained, gravelly site less than one mile from the Russian River. This vineyard experiences the full impact of the cooling fog. The wine is aged in French oak barrels. This Russian River Pinot Noir has a rich dark cranberry color. Enticing aromas of black cherry, rose petals, toast and plum are further enhanced by flavors of raspberry and cherry cola. Its rich array of flavors and aromas will age gracefully and become more complex over the next several years.

2008 MIRO Zinfandel $19.99
MIRO Cellars hand crafts small lots of artisan wines from vineyards selected for their intense varietal characteristics and unique terroir. Finding and producing the ultimate Zinfandel has been Miro's passion for almost two decades. (Miro's 'day job' is as winemaker for Trentadue Winery.) This Zin, produced from an old-vine, head-pruned vineyard just yards from the bank of the Russian River, has come the closest to fulfilling this passion. It's loaded with juicy delicious fruit and just a kiss of toasty oak and vanilla nuances. The wine is irresistible. Drink now through 2012. 190 cases made.
