Imbibe new
Hey Everyone,

First off, we'd like to thank everyone who attended last night's Sierra Nevada and Taco Tastings.  The response was... how do you say, overwhelming?  More than 70 beer tickets and over 50 taco tickets were sold; last night's event was clearly a success.  Since the first of the year has been doing so well, we here at Imbibe wanted to offer a special bonus, a second chance of sorts.  We currently found extra stock of a few extra wines that were hits when they first came out, and now will be again.  Quantities are very limited so if you missed them the first time, be sure to hurry in.

Please offer a warm welcome-back to:

Maclean Cab
2005 MACLEAN CABERNET $24.99

The 2005 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit is from two contiguous vineyards just south of the Stags Leap District. These low-yielding older vines produce wines that are dark, complex and full of rich, supple tannins. The wine is deep ruby in color, saturated to the rim.  Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, cassis and toasty oak. The full and round entry leads to a powerful, dense, concentrated evolution and an extremely long finish with mouth-coating tannins.

Maclean Sauv Blanc
2007 MACLEAN SAUVIGNON BLANC $9.99

The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from a tiny vineyard north of St. Helena. This dry-farmed, 1-1/2 acre vineyard is 27 years old and very low-yielding (less than three tons per acre!). The vines must send their roots down to a depth of perhaps 30 feet to find water. As a result, the wine has significant depth and structure, with mineral, pear, lemon-lime and floral aromas and flavors. The finish is surprisingly long. The wine was fermented half in barrels, half in stainless steel. No malolactic fermentation was conducted. 100% natural acidity.

2007 KALI HART PINOT NOIR $16.95

Vibrant and bright, Kali Hart Pinot Noir is a layered, fruit-driven wine that finds it character from an artful blend of elite Pommard and Dijon new clone fruit from Talbott's River Road Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The fruit for Kali Hart is hand-sorted, pressed, and put through extended maceration, before spending several months in seasoned French oak. Crafted in a style for earlier release than Talbott's other Pinot Noirs, Kali Hart offers lush fruit and lively acidity, with signature floral aromatics and cherry flavors. Made in a balanced, yet concentrated style, Kali Hart Pinot Noir is crafted to be enjoyed in its youth.
