Greetings!
Hello to all those who Imbibe. I have some great new wines and deals to tell you about, so be sure to read this whole edition!
This has been a busy week in our wine storage facility. I guess quite a few of you have decided it's more appealing to move your wine into our facility when it's not 100 degrees outside. Seems pretty smart to me! Remember, wine storage customers enjoy FREE corkage at the wine bar as well as permission to enjoy their own wines out of locker in our relaxed setting.
Beginning Saturday October 24th, Steve Elsen of Trumpet Flugelhorn will be playing, with accompaniment, from 6 to 8 p.m. for your listening pleasure in the Imbibe Wine Bar. We enjoyed his music immensely this last Tuesday, when he played for guests of the Hoffman Hospice benefit at Imbibe. Mental note: begin your Saturday evenings at Imbibe.
Until next time, thanks to those who Imbibe, David and Tami Dobbs

Mira | $17.99
First up on the new in the store list today is a wonderful wine named Mira from my favorite wine importer Eric Solomon. I have been a fan of this wine for many years, so when I got the call that the new vintage was in I jumped at it.
Mira is a blend of old vine Monastrell & Garnacha with some Cabernet added. A dense, dark red with an intense bouquet of dark fruits with hints of blackberries with a smoky finish. The wine is full bodied with concentrated fruit flavors that border on juicy sweetness, yet it has enough tannin and acidity for great balance. Enjoy with very full flavored dishes, especially those cooked over a fire. I have seen this wine out there for as much as thirty-five dollars; we are offering it for only $17.99. Mira scored 93/100 in the Wine Advocate.
A must try wine - and we'll make it easy for you by putting it on tap at the wine bar through Saturday. |
Pacific Rim Riesling
Net cost $3.99/bottle. Really.
Second up is Pacific Rim Riesling. This wine is crisp yet lush with fine acidity and flavors of line and apricot. The perfect food wine with any Asian fare. This wine recently received a gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Now get this, I see this wine around for $9.99. Imbibe is selling it for $8.99 - AND, if you buy two bottles you'll get ten dollars back in the mail, so your net cost is only $3.99 each. The wholesaler limits this offer to four bottles per name and address. Now this is a deal. Just like the Mira, we'll have it available at the wine bar through Saturday for you to test drive.
