Tax Tip of the Month 

Employ your partner

If you have a stay at home husband or wife, or if your partner has recently become un employed, you should consider recruiting them into your business. This will ensure you maximise tax credit available to you as a couple.
If you own a limited company, make your partner a proprietary director and they can then avail of director benefits such as pension, expenses, mileage etc.

Sheena McInerney- Accountant with KDA
 

Sheena trained in the tax department of a large accounting firm in Dublin. Sheena has an honours degree in B.Comm from UCD. She qualified as an ACA in February 2008 and as an AITI (Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute) in September 2008. Sheena joined the KDA team in July of this year.
 
Sheena is in her twenties. She has a keen interest in travelling and spent just over a year travelling in 2008 & 2009. She has also a keen interest in Irish dancing and has competed at Ulster, All Ireland and World level. She also enjoys all sports.
