October is Stewardship Month
Stewardship I, II, III
You may have noticed that at St. Cuthbert we talk about stewardship all the time, not just once a year. In October, in conjunction with our annual pledge drive, we will focus on what stewardship is and why it is so important in the life of a Christian. Father Desmond will preach a series of sermons called Stewardship I, II, III. Sunday, October 18, we will conclude with a pledge ingathering. Come and be enlightened as well as informed. |

Annual Vestry Election
The annual Vestry election will be held Sunday, October 11, after the 10:30 a.m. service. The following people have agreed to be candidates for the 2010-2013 vestry: Laura Reid, Hugh Walker, Harry Ochsenbein, Wayne Mason and Andrea Stewart. Look for more information about these candidates on the easel in the narthex and in this month's Journey.

Paintball Rescheduled
Youth versus Parents
 Paintball is this Sunday, October 11! The cost is $20 per person. St. Cuthbert will meet at the Paintball Zone, 8311 FM 1960 Bypass, 77338, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Please meet us at the field at 5:00 p.m. or ride the bus to the field. If you plan to ride the bus or would like to follow the bus to the field, meet at St. Cuthbert at 3:45 p.m. All players must sign a release and anyone under 18 years must have the release signed by a parent. Junior High Indescribable Retreat
Sign up Deadline Wednesday, October 14
All Junior High Youth are invited to the Indescribable Retreat. The cost is $75 per person. You can bring a friend for $40. The retreat is Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1 at Camp Allen. We will meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. and caravan over. It is a time to get away and have fun, to rethink your life and walk in Christ, to regroup, find your center and get in touch with God.
