Nancy Prafke and Gini Pender

At a ceremony conducted on June 8 at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, TEAM Punta Gorda CEO Nancy Prafke was recognized with the "Joanie Award" for her volunteer efforts on behalf of the community. The "Joanie Award" was established by the Cultural Center in the memory of Joan Reinhard who was involved in numerous local charities. She passed away in 2011. The award is named in her honor and is intended to recognize those who volunteer their efforts to enhance the community.  TEAM volunteer Gini Pender nominated Nancy for the award.

"Nancy's unending energy as CEO for TEAM Punta Gorda is seen in her approach to her duties with a positive outlook and proactively working to obtain results," said TEAM Punta Gorda President Claire Phelen. "Nancy deserves this award for the years of volunteering she has given to this great organization."
