TEAM Punta Gorda Happenings |
|

- South County Gateway Project: TEAM, Charlotte County, and the City of Punta Gorda will be conducting a public workshop for stakeholders and other interested parties within South Charlotte County. You can help form the future appearance of the US41 corridor with your architectural sign and landscaping ideas. The meeting will be held at the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church (11300 Burnt Store Road) on February 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Dancing with The Charlotte Stars 2010: TEAM CEO, Nancy Prafke, will be one of the judges at the "Dancing with The Charlotte Stars 2010," on March 5 at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County. Also, Jill McCrory, who is an Ex-Officio Board Member, will be one of the 'stars.' This is a fundraising event for the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County. For more information, call 941-764-8100.
- TEAM made presentations at the February 3 City Council/CRA meeting on the use of Herald Court Centre for the Artisans' Atelier and the Bicycle Loaner Program. The CRA approved the Artisians' Atelier and the City Council approved the Bicycle Loaner Program (thanks to a check received for six bicycles from Patti Allen of Fishermen's Village.) Work will begin soon on both endeavors.
- TEAM's Architectural Committee has prepared a great brochure for use by the Design Studio. Check out the brochure on TEAM's website, www.teampuntagorda.org.
- Unfortunately, the American International College has decided not to bring a campus to Punta Gorda or Florida. The Higher Education Committee, headed by Tom Kerr, will continue their search.
