Recent Work

www.mosaicsbymichele.comMXM recently completed a 5'x3' logo for the Curves Fitness Center located at 13420-C Tomball Parkway.

The background is made of mirror, the "Curves" word is made of deep purple mirror and it is finished off with a deep purple frame.  Click here to view a larger image.

Call us to find out about having a mosaic made of your business logo!  Business logos can be made as small as a belt buckle or as large as any wall in your office!
MXM's Wish List

www.mosaicsbymichele.comAs an avid recycler, I am always on the lookout for reusable materials that I can use in my studio.  If you have a good amount (worth traveling for) of the following materials please contact me to schedule a pick-up.

1.  Tempered glass (broken or in tact)

2.  Large pieces of mirror--are you remodeling a bathroom?

3.  Old or broken dishes (glass)--colors and patterns preferred.

4.  Plastic containers, wooden spoons, buckets, etc.
Houston Public Art

www.mosaicsbymichele.comArtist Dean Ruck' s The Big Bubble celebrates the history of the bayou, and the role it continues to play in the life of the city. Next time you're in downtown Houston, head over to the Preston Street Bridge, look for a red button on the southeast corner of the bridge, press it and check out what happens. (The name The Big Bubble should tell you something.)  Also, it's fun to do as someone is walking over the bridge.

www.mosaicsbymichele.comJust a few blocks down Preston is Market Square Park (at Preston and Milam).  There you will find these beautiful hand painted tile mosaic benches by Malou Flato.  Each pair forms a 28' tile arc and are placed on the park's perimeter, with seating facing both the street and the park interior.  Flato's vivid, impressionistic scenes of the market place reference the original market held on the grounds of City Hall and create permanent gardens of color in the park.
