EMPLOYEE IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Stacey St. Clair
Our Employee In The Spotlight this month is Stacey St. Clair.  Stacey is the newest member of the Garner Properties Call Center team.  She answers calls from prospective tenants who wish to schedule a home showing or have questions answered.  Stacey may be new, but she will impress you with her familiarity with all of our properties, their amenties and their location.  Click here to see more about Stacey and the rest of the GPM Team.
ON-LINE RENT PAY IS AVAILABLE

Tenants who wish to pay their rent on-line may do so by logging on to the Tenant Portal.  One-time payments may be made by credit card or checking account draft (convenience fees apply).  If you set up Auto Pay with your checking account, the convenience fee is waived.  If you do not have a login for the Tenant Portal, click the SIGN UP button on the Tenant Portal and fill out the requested info.  Login information will be e-mailed to you.

Spring is emerging slooooooowly in Southeast Michigan, but things at Garner Properties are red hot!  Lease signings are trending upward.  In the month of March, we signed 37 leases and in April we expect to do as many, if not more.  Our phones are busy and our Agents are in the field all day showing homes to multiple prospects.

Prospective tenants are beginning to emerge from winter's hibernation and are taking advantage of the scattered sunny days to house hunt for a new rental property.  What a better way to start the season, and we are here to help!

It's Spring Clean-up Time

Just a reminder that Spring is the time to begin exterior maintenance.  As Tenants, you are responsible for general maintenance of the exterior, including gutters, downspouts and lawn maintenance.

 

During the Winter months, the gutters and downspouts can become cluttered with leaves and debris.  Not keeping them clean can cause damage to the foundation and the home's exterior.  We found a great article with information on how to maintain gutters and downspouts safely and easily.

 

Everyone loves to see a home with nice lawn.  We recommend cutting the grass and regular watering and fertilizing to keep it lush throughout the summer months.  We found another great article with information on lawn maintenance.

Renter's Insurance - Protection For Your Possessions

At the time of lease signing, Garner Properties & Management recommends that all Tenants consider purchasing Renter's Insurance to cover the Tenant's possessions and liability.  Tenant's are not covered under the Owner's policy for these items.  We came across an article recently about Renter's Insurance that we think you will find interesting.

 

If you do not have a Renter's Insurance policy, we strongly encourage you to pick up the phone and begin the process by shoping for rates.
