CLEANER APPRECIATION POEM
 
 Twas 12 days before Christmas
   And all through the town
Many homes needed cleaning
  We can't let them down.

BUDGET TIGHT?  AN INEXPENSIVE WAY TO HONOR YOUR EMPLOYEES AT CHRISTMAS TIME
 

TWAS 12 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS
 
Twas 12 days before Christmas
   And all through the town
Many homes needed cleaning
  We can't let them down.
 
The owners were kept busy
  Booking a new home.
While cleaners were searching
  Their cell phones in roam.
 
The new job was scheduled
  The address was right.
The cleaners can't find it
  Their time running tight.
 
They contacted their home office
  Surely a mistake has been made.
Without sufficient corrections
  Their new stress level would not fade.
 
The client was called
  The corrections made
The team was now happy
  Because they'd be paid.
 
They arrived just in time
  Though little to spare.
The client was happy
  On time was so rare.
 
They donned their aprons
  Went right to work.
The home was quit dirty
  They could not lurk.
 
They came fully equipped
  With everything needed.
And with no hesitation
  Their clean up proceeded.
 
They followed their process
  Their spunk never diminished.
In the wink of an eye
  They would surely be finished.
 
They all finished their cleaning
  And went straight to the floors.
The client must be happy
  So look behind the doors.
 
They did their final walk through
  Everything looked great.
They checked with the client
  For her approval they'd wait.
 
The client was elated
  And gave them a tip.
With some cash in their pockets
  They gave out with a yip.
 
Although they were happy
  There were more houses to clean.
Their souls felt excited
  But there energy quit lean.
 
They were grateful to their boss
  Who started this long day
With a hot cup of coffee
   In a very special way.
 
"Each day I will give you
  In your own special mug
A hot cup of coffee
  Along with a huge hug.
 
Then each day that follows
  Until Christmas Day
A new gift will find you
  To help me to say.
 
I'd be lost without you
  For you are our core.
Our whole company needs you
  No need to say more.
 
Just one more thing that I simply have to say
  A very Merry Christmas I wish to each and all
And may all your New Year's dreams come true 
  Because you put our company's name on the quality wall."
 
 
On the 12th day before Christmas I show my appreciation for you with your own special coffee mug filled with coffee.  Bring it to the office every day to be refilled for the next 11 days.
 
 
 
 
Christmas time, even more than Thanksgiving, seems to be the time of the year when we want to (or are expected to) show our clients and EMPLOYEES how much they mean to us through some type of gift.  Could this expectation come at a worse time of the year?  Our budgets are already strained with family and friend gift giving so showing appreciation on a limited budget is very important. 
What is important to get across with your gift giving is the message of appreciation.  An expensive gift often times does not convey this message.  Many of you are already using our 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' poem for your clients along with a free periodic task of their choice such as cleaning the inside of their refrigerator, wet wiping their baseboards or kitchen bath cabinets, etc.  (This poem is available on our website online store at www.successmaideasy.com/store for the low cost of $5 and you can find ideas of how to use it on our webinar entitled 'Maximizing Holiday Profits and Scheduling' at the same website under 'seminar recording.'  For those of you who already have our unlimited access webinar plan be sure to watch this seminar today!!) 
So, what about the employee who really is far more important to you than your client?  We recommend you show them every day for 12 days before Christmas how much they mean to you.  This will make it fun for them to come to the office every day at a very stressful time in their lives.  The first gift that you will give them is their very own coffee mug which they will fill with the coffee that you have made for them.  Attached to the mug will be the above poem written especially for them.  You will have free coffee prepared for them every day before Christmas and each day after the first day you will have something else to give them along with the coffee. 
A list of inexpensive items is listed below that you can use each day or think of your own ideas.  You might want to make the last day a little larger item with a special Christmas gift to them, but you certainly do not need to.  This will show them every day for 12 days just how much they mean to you.  Granted, this is also a very busy time of the year for you but this idea is very simple to implement and easy to keep going.  It will also give your cleaners something to look forward to each day besides another dirty home. Each day you want to attach a small piece of paper to their gift of the day that says:  On the (11th ) day before Christmas I show my appreciation for you with ----------------.
