It's been a long wait, but it's finally here! The St. Norbert Farmers Market has now opened for the season. Head out there on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to get your fix of locally grown, baked and handmade goods. Visit the Farmers Market Association website ( link on the left) for more market locations. Crampton's Market at the corner of Bishop Grandin and Waverley has also opened for the season. Their location boasts a new addition with more space for their popular bakery, more market space and window service for gelato. Local asparagus and more can be found on their shelves right now. Sage Garden Herbs celebrates the Summer Solstice on Saturday June 20 from 10 - 3. Come out for workshops, music, delicious food, gorgeous plants & herbs and a variety of vendors.

Community Living Winnipeg is an organization whose mission is to enhance the lives and status of people living with an intellectual disability by promoting full inclusion and participation in the community. One of the programs that they run is the Among Friends group. This group provides a variety of social and educational opportunities to youth. Recently, past participants of an inclusive art class had some of their art reproduced into a collection of cards. The second run of these beautiful cards will be available shortly from Community Living and all proceeds return directly back to the artists! The Manitoba Marathon has taken place since 1979. Manitoba Marathon is not just a race, it is a fund raiser that supports projects for people living with an intellectual disability.
