Mentoring Matters Conference Honorees
 
Five individuals were recently recognized at the Mentoring Matters Conference held at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, as winners of the 2009 Mentoring Achievement Award. MPLI salutes these five Program Coordinators and Mentors for their outstanding contributions to the Long Island Mentoring Community.

The Mentoring Partnership has awarded each of the mentoring programs represented by these honorees with a cash stipend of $500. In addition, each of the five honorees will be added to the MPLI Mentoring Hall of Fame
 
This year we received so many outstanding nominations for the Mentoring Achievement Award. While we were unable to award stipends to each and every program represented by a nominee, MPLI did want to recognize the following individuals who like the five actual Mentoring Achivement Award winners will also be added to the Mentoring Hall of Fame on the Partnership's website. Congratulations to all of these Certificate of Merit awardees:

Don't miss our annual Benefit at Brooks Brothers at the Americana in Manhasset. This year's event will be held on Friday evening, May 1st and will honor OSI CEO Dr. Colin Goddard. Invitations were mailed in February.

Grant Opportunity Through IMentor

IMentor Offers E-Mentoring Grant Opportunity
 
IMentor is offering a grant to make it's innovative e-mentoring system available to qualifying mentoring programs on Long Island. The IMentor grant is available only to mentoring programs serving High School age youth.   
 
The Mentoring Partnership of Long Island has vetted the IMentor system and it comes highly recommended as a way of strengthening mentoring programs and individual relationships within those programs.
