Full Moon in Pisces
The Pisces full Moon occurs at 2* of Pisces and Virgo on Tuesday, August 24th at 1:05pm Eastern/ 10:05 Pacific time. Pisces links us through the heart, and now is the time to focus on tenderness and compassion. With the world in such a chaotic state, it is especially important to do good works that ease the aches of the Earth and her people. Pisces Full Moon is all about creativity, and is a great time to visit the creative realm. A veil of mystery and magic surrounds us, and it is an ideal time to recommit to- or create- a personal vision or goal. The Pisces full Moon is a lunar culmination, and it comes at harvest time, with the Sun in Virgo. It's time to take action on, or bring to fruition, any new Moon (in Leo) intentions you set around August 12th.

Full Moon Ritual If you are not able to join us, here is a ritual you can perform:
Gather candles, sage for smudging, a piece of paper and pen, a flame resistant vessel or plate, a bowl filled with water, and incense. 1. Create a Sacred Space with candles, a small area where you can move freely, but not so large that you feel overwhelmed. If you have a personal altar or Sacred Objects, make use of them in your Sacred Space. Try to sit outside, under the Full Moon, or in front of a window where the moon shines down upon you. Arrange the bowl of water in front of you, and the pen and paper nearby. Set the incense within easy reach. 2. Smudge your Sacred Space and yourself. Ground yourself with deep breaths, visualize the outside world slipping away. Light the candles and settle yourself in front of the objects you've gathered. 3. Write that which you would like to see manifest onto the paper. It can be a need, a want, or a request. Hold it in your hands for a moment, and visualize that which you desire coming to fruition. Ask the Goddess for guidance, and then hold the paper over the flame. As it burns, see the smoke rising into the cosmos, your intent flowing outward toward manifestation. Let the paper burn down into the flame resistant vessel. 4. Light the incense and thank the Goddess for her Blessings. Meditate, if you wish. Center yourself. Take a moment to be still and quiet. 5. Cup your hands in the water and lift them, letting the water trickle down your arms and into your face. Feel the Love of the Goddess washing over you, bring you renewal of spirit, body, and mind. 6. End the ritual and open your Sacred Space by extinguishing the candles. As soon as possible, take the ashes and remainder of the water from the bowl to a garden or park and pour them at the foot of a tree or into a flower bush, thanking the plant for it's service. |
