*** IMMERSION 1 covers the Her-Story of the Mother Goddess and those who worshipped Her in antiquity.  "The Burning Times" is a classic film in the Goddess movement and includes a timeline for how the Church destroyed the lives of those who saw the Creator as a Mother, or as a partnership between God & Goddess.   We will be calling upon the souls of those who died during the Roman Empire and later during the Catholic church led "Inquisition" and asking for assistance from the  spirit realm to return humanity to Her heart-felt wisdom.
Dearest Sister,

We are thrilled at the soul-level that you are considering  Ordination with the Phoenix Goddess Temple as a Mystic Sister.   We have a lot planned in our  first 24 hours together in sacred sisterhood.   Because of the predicted snow storm in Sedona, we have moved the Immersion back to our home temple in Phoenix.

You will be overnighting at the Temple, where we will be sharing chambers 'slumber party' style.  If you must sleep at home, we ask that you stay with us until 11:00 pm Sunday and return to temple for the Path by 8:00 am, as we have a full 3 hours planned Monday morning, 8:00 am-11:00 am.

When packing for the overnight, please  remember:

* 4 meals are scheduled, including breakfast, lunch and dinner Sunday and breakfast Monday morning.  Please bring "ancient foods" to share, including seeds, dried or fresh fruits, olives, unleavened bread, smoked fish or meats and simple cheeses to share in the communal pantry.

* Bring ONE item for the Mystic Sister 'Stone Soup', temple provides vegetable stock and you can bring any item to 'throw in the pot' (i.e. an onion, a carrot or potato, lentils....)

* Bring a sleeping bag OR your own pillow if you wish to supplement temple linens.

* WEAR 'ancient' clothing: try to dress in natural fibers like cotton, leather, fur or any hand-made attire. Find a lovely bit of cloth and wrap a toga, dig out your silk caftan....avoid zippers or elastic, polyester or other man-made fabrics.  Colors achieved w/natural dyes and coarse-woven textures are great!

* Be sure to have a very warm coat, outdoor shoes or boots for a short afternoon walk where we will gather items for the communal altar to the Mother. Hats and gloves would be great too for the late evening copper fire pit ceremony Sunday night, please be prepared to be outdoors about 30 minutes or so.

* If you have any noise making instrument (drum, bell, rattle) please bring it.

YOUR offering of financial support goes to supplies, ceremonial gifts for the sisters, food and scholarships for those who earn less at temple.  If you cannot bring the full amount of $105/ please make arrangements with Janet to make a payment plan for this and future immersions.

We will gather at the temple Sunday morning by 11:00 am for a lovely brunch and screening of "Goddess Remembered".  Later we will view "The Burning Times" and the sisters will invoke the ancient spirits to aid our mission for the Mother.  You will complete Monday morning at 11:00 am, in time for your day to start at eleven for first appointments if you wish.

Feel free to phone if you have any further questions, 206.271.5837 or the School of 1 phone 602.956.0651.

What a wonderful time to weave as the Sisters of Light!
