Good News Travels Fast!   Visit us at our new home near 24th St. & Thomas Road.

Dear Gentle Be-ings:

The Phoenix Goddess Temple arrived in the Valley of the Sun in March of 2008, and has been searching for the perfect location where we could plant our 'tree of knowledge' with deep roots and tall aspirations.  With a mailing list of over 900 people, the  Temple has grown to a point where only ' commercial ' space would allow us to serve our community and culture.  The Great Mother has (in Her own mysterious timing) graced us with a lovely free-standing office building that sits right on the Grand Canal.   Our new home is a 13,000 square feet building, and we currently occupy 6000+ of that.  Plans are well underway to create a Mystic Healing Arts Center here, complete with counseling offices, healing chambers, a small yoga/dance studio, and video room. Two Sisters are working on a temple book & gift store, which will also offer ceremonial veils and jewelry. There is still 1000 square feet available NOW if you'd like to join us in this vision of a central home for Temple Life.

As we settle in, watch the temple transform from a white and gray business vibe to a spacious temple of light and color over the next few months.  We currently have 7 Transformation Chambers ready for healing sessions, and just 7 full time practitioners in residence.   Watch for updates as new guests and local healers that have been waiting-in-the-wings step into serving humanity in this blessedly bigger container!

Speaking of blessings, parking issues have followed us from the beginning (success problem to be sure! ) and we are happy to report that we have 24 assigned parking spots, with an additional 22 shared spaces available.   Our 2 classrooms are smaller than we'd hoped for as we unable to remove a 'load bearing wall'.  Perhaps this the Mother's way of keeping our gatherings at an intimate guest count of 30 or fewer.   Since our average attendance is hovering around 15 or so, we still have room to double in size as we meet new friends and invite a larger membership.

At this time we would like to extend a big hearty Blessing to our wonderful Temple Heroes, without whom much of this would not have been possible. You know who you are, as do we, and we Honor, Love, and Bless you all.  Stay tuned for the High Holy Day celebration honoring the Temple Men, coming Sunday, June 21st, from 2 pm - 5 pm.

Brandy * Our Domestic Goddess

Brandy is one of the many people who make life at Temple a pleasant experience. In the outerworld known as facility manager & housekeeping.  Her contributions are a big part of how everything flows smoothly at the temple.

In ancient Egypt, the Brandy would have been accorded high status as the keeper of Light and Order in the Pharoh's home. The Goddess of the Hearth & Home was given royal burial, complete with her own gigantic tomb, filled with gold, jewels and precious spices to enjoy in the afterlife.  Although we can't promise that kind of reward, we DO recognize the importance of a clean and beautiful 'sacred space' and she has brought amazing order to our live during the many moves we've had since February.

Brandy brings with her a diverse background, having experience in Real Estate, remodeling and decor, as well as running her own cleaning service for 10 years.  One of her unique gifts she picked up assisting one of Phoenix's leading chiropractors, she has a wonderful way of adjusting the body with positive energy.  Her  diverse work history makes Brandy a perfect fit and a valued member of our Temple Family. She gives herself and her time to Temple generously, and we want to take this opportunity to say "We love you Brandy!  You arrived with your grace 'just in the nick of time' "

A Note from Tracy Elise
Hello Dear 1 ' s

What a time it has been for Janet and I bringing the temple to safe harbor.  Before signing the lease on our new building, we spent hours over a period of 3 days down at Phoenix City Hall.  The staff 'saw us coming' as our zoning exploits are a hot topic on many of the local media outlets.   Amazingly, and happily, we were met with the kindest and warmest regard by city officials, many of whom knew about the nature of our beliefs and chose to be respectful of our religion and church.  After much paperwork flowing  back and forth, we got clear that we are properly zoned, we are using the building in an appropriate way, and with adequate parking.  Yeah!

The City has been so friendly and we are striving to be compliant with Phoenix's policies regarding churches within city limits.  With all of this 'gray area' behind us, we are truly in a great position to create a healing center, a training / internship program and a center for educating the public on our spiritual / sacred vessel practices.

It has been a bit of a shock for practitioners and seekers alike to move from our past elegant homes with swimming pools and lush landscaping to this more practical temple space.   As time goes on, the grace and beauty will return, the changes will come as time goes on and as funds become available.    In the meantime, we have been blessed with 8 bathrooms, as well as the potential to create a Water Ceremony chamber, as there is extensive plumbing throughout the building.  We have skylights and very tall ceilings throughout  (so important when working with the light body) and views of flowing water and pink flowers and trees out the windows.  As 'commercial' spaces go, this one is a gem with gracious Spanish-villa style architecture and huge trees all around.  We are equipped with handicapped parking and bathrooms, and a blond wood and tile kitchen w/ lounge for friends and family gatherings.  All in all, we are in a very sweet spot heading into summer!

In Her service,

Tracy

Sensual Seattle

Selene and Celeborn of Sensual Seattle are involved with a talent competition  at the national level, taking their Sensual Aerialist Performance to new heights of excellence. We wish them all the best as they compete for a slot on national television.  Those of us who know Celeborn and Selene are not surprised that the producers of the program said "You bring so much romance and sensuality to the show".  We agree!
