In addition to seeing Seekers while they are here, the wonderful folk from Sensual Seattle will be teaching a class on Saturday Night April 18th. Because of the two part nature od this Special Class the time is different from our regular schedueled class/social time:

The title of the class is, "The Skin Sense, The Tantric Lifestyle, and True Mediation"

The first half of the class will be a free introduction discussing the nature of the skin as an organ of perception. The introduction will cover a bit of the physiology of our highly evolved sensory processes. The introduction will also cover the importance of the tactile sense in intimacy and human relationships in general, as well as the importance of ALL 5 senses in appropriately responding to our environment.

The second half of the class will cost $50 and be a hands on
instructional process where we will all wear sarongs (make sure you bring one), or be naked. Selene, Calypso, and Celeborn will teach and demonstrate how to awaken the skin sense of a partner or seeker. Methods to enhance the skin sense as an organ of perception will be covered in an erotic, sensual, and informative manner. We will also cover the importance of integrating the body as a whole in order to facilitate the most important part of the class. This segment will discuss and demonstrate the way to teach the body how to meditate, ignoring the tricky split mind and it's false sense of self.

This method of body based meditation is far easier (and FAR more fun) to learn that the traditional mind based methods which purport to teach how to "empty the mind of content in order to allow the clear light of consciousness to settle into awareness". As most of us know this is not an easy task, and most of us have dubious results.

The body based form of enlightenment encourages the awakening of the body to the flow of life energy through it, the essence of Tantra, and how this process focuses the bodies attention on the present moment awareness. As this occurs the separation of the split mind can heal itself and the present moment awareness can fill the mind from within, essentially forcing out the chatter, judgments, commentary, fears,
anxieties, and other ego based thoughts.

Not only is this a far easier, more natural, more integrated approach, but it is fun, relaxing, erotic, and sensual at the same time.
