6th and 11th Grades
Mrs. Youngblood's sixth grade history students learned about the research process with help of Mrs. Jones' eleventh grade English students. The sixth graders worked diligently on their UDC research, allowing the Juniors to serve as a reference guide to help them make bibliography cards, fact cards and put together outlines. After all the process work, the sixth graders will be writing and editing essays on their own. The sixth graders will submit their final essays as both a grade in the class and as part of the regional competition.
 
Attention Junior Class
There will be a Junior Class parent meeting on February 8, 2010 at 7pm in Mrs. Latimer's room. This meeting will address student responsibilities, parent committees, and other prom details. We ask that each Junior has a parent representative at the meeting. Please e-mail Mrs. Latimer or Mrs. Jones with questions or concerns.

Junior Beta Inducts New Members
Junior Beta held their induction ceremony on January 21, 2010. There were 17 new members from both the sixth and seventh grades. These new members have maintained an 88 average over the last two quarters at John Milledge Academy. The sixth grade new members are: Michelle Barlow, Macey Bloodworth,
Trevor Evans, Grace Fields, Chad Freeman, Morgan Goette, Amber Griffin, Michael Martino, Emma Mercer, Caleb Pool, Jared Ray, Kendall Rowland, Abby Starley, Cole Turner and Logan Walden. The seventh grade new members are: Hannah Morris and Sherri Simmons. Thanks to all of the parents who attended this special ceremony.
