Thoughts about a potential outbreak
In the next e-letter, we will outline the steps Cherry Preschool will take in the event of an outbreak. For now, we suggest you use the links below to learn more about the illness and what steps you can take to minimize your child's risk.

OPENINGS FOR NEW STUDENTS...
Due to some last minute changes, we have limited spaces available for children in our 3 Afternoon Multiage classes for children who turn 3 by December 31. Children in their last year of preschool may not enroll in this program.
LUNCH PROGRAM
There are spaces available in both the morning (11:30-1:35) and afternoon (11:30-12:30) programs. To enroll, please call or email the preschool. You may download an application from the Cherry Preschool website under "Required Forms -- Optional Forms."

PARKING UPDATE
Lake Street will have limited to no parking through September 18 due to work on curbs and resurfacing. Please allow extra time because parking will be a challenge. Consider parking on Wesley or Ashland for the school or on Florence for park drop off. Also you may find parking on Greenwood (you can walk through the alley to Lake Street to get to the school).
Thanks to our Alderperson, Lionel Jean-Baptiste, and Evanston Parking Manager, Rick Voss, for arranging to waive the parking restrictions on the side streets during the construction. You may disregard the parking signs on Wesley, Ashland, and Florence until the Lake Street work is completed. In the event you do get a ticket, you should contact Rick Voss directly (847-448-8292) and he will take care of it. |
WANT TO JOIN THE CHERRY BOARD?
It's not too late to be part of the Cherry Preschool Board. We have an opening for Special Events Chair. The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Helping the office with hospitality for parent coffees
- Working with the fundraising chairs to coordinate an October parent event
- Planning parent gatherings a few times during the year
- Organizing hospitality for the January open house for prospective families
- Working with the office to coordinate Cherry's art display for the YEA! art fair in May
Board meetings are the third Monday of each month from 7:45 to 9:00 PM.
