Randy Woodley, a Keetoowah Cherokee, casts a biblical, multiethnic vision for people of every nation, tribe and tongue. He carefully unpacks how Christians should think about racial and cultural identity, demonstrating that ethnically diverse communities have always been God's intent for His people.

Woodley gives practical insights for how we can relate to one another with sensitivity, contextualize the gospel, combat the subtleties of racism and honor one another's unique contributions to church and society.

Hello ,

Recently, someone asked me how WNAM
is doing financially during the current economic downturn.  I replied that I had good news and bad news.

The bad news is that WNAM, like many other churches and ministries, is facing
its share of cash flow challenges.  The good news, however, is that God is not!

I fully believe God has provided all the resources WNAM and other ministries need to accomplish the work He's called us to do.  It is up to God's people, as stewards of those resources, to channel them in the direction He wants them to go.

I'm grateful for the hundreds of individuals and churches who partner with WNAM to help us reach Natives across North America with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

If you haven't given in a while, or if you've never given, would you prayerfully consider a gift today?  You can now give online at www.wnam.org!

In Christ,

America Through Native Eyes
We Shall Remain movie promo

From the award-winning PBS series American Experience comes We Shall Remain, a provocative multi-media project that establishes Native history as an essential part of American history.

At the heart of the project is a five-part television series that shows how Native peoples valiantly resisted expulsion from their lands and fought the extinction of their culture -- from the Wampanoags of New England in the 1600s who used their alliance with the English to weaken rival tribes, to the bold new leaders of the 1970s who harnessed the momentum of the civil rights movement to forge a pan-Indian identity.

We Shall Remain represents an unprecedented collaboration between Native and non-Native filmmakers and involves Native advisors and scholars at all levels of the project.

The five-part series airs on PBS stations Mondays starting April 13 at 9:00 pm ET & PT.  You can learn more, and watch a 25-minute preview, at www.pbs.org/weshallremain.
New Navajo Ministry Website
Work Team at the Badlands

The Pacific Southwest District has launched a new website for anyone in their district, and beyond, who wants to pray for and partner with the Wesleyan churches located on the Navajo Nation in Arizona.

The site was developed by Rev. Bob Lenz of Skyline Church.  Bob is pictured above on the right, along with other members of the district's Native ministry team: Rev. Cecil Lucas (middle), the district's Native ministries director, and Rev. Joe Martin (left), the district's missions director.

The new site offers tips and info for anyone planning a missions trip to the Navajo Rez.  It also lists prayer requests from Pastors Ben Yazzie and Darwin Tsosie, a list of needs from their churches, and more.  Over time, the site will feature trip reports from ministry teams, along with photos and videos.

Check out the website at:  http://pswnavajooutreach.blogspot.com/.
