New Parent and Volunteer Requirements

Part of the revised changes in our Policies and Procedures involve the adult volunteer policies. We now require membership, a volunteer application, references, volunteer/council agreement, and a background screening on all volunteers working with girls in direct service - or in roles including but not limited to adults that attend Girl Scout activities, drive girls or deal with money or Girl Scout Product Sales.  Background screening requires a shared cost of $1.50 per applicant, which will conveniently be paid directly online to Intellicorp during the application process. We are taking steps to ensure this process will be simple and user friendly for all volunteers.  To read more on this new process, visit our website.

Fall Product Sale Activityfall prod theme 2012The Fall Product Sale Activity occurs during the start of the Girl Scout membership year and the products are delivered before the Thanksgiving Holiday - just in time for holiday gift giving.

Girls Can Participate in Three Ways

Nuts and Candy Sales

A delicious selection of nut and candy items is assembled to make it easy for girls to help meet their troop's goal. The items range in cost from $5.00 to $8.00 and will be delivered in time for holiday celebrations and gift-giving.

Magazine Subscriptions

Girls are able to ask family members and friends, both locally and across the country to purchase or renew magazine subscriptions.  We offer three options for girls to contact family and friends: an online activity that sends email messages, catalog booklets for door-to-door orders, and the address booklet that allows girls to submit names and addresses of family members and friends to our magazine partners.

Be A Reader Activity

Activities, information, ideas, resources, and more are available on the Be A Reader website for year-round fun!  Activities are age appropriate and program links are provided by our national organization - Girls Scouts of the USA. (GSUSA)   By completing activities, girls are eligible for the Be A Reader Patch.
