Garden Club (Wed 2-3 pm)
Every Wednesday, students are invited to explore the wonders of the garden. Please bring a hat and a water bottle. Our mantra: "WE DIG DIRT!" For more information, click here.
Every Wednesday after school is Pizza Day! Treat your kids and help the PTA with this delicious weekly fundraiser. Visit us outside the cafeteria and enjoy a slice and a drink for only $2. Other delicious healthy snacks are also available.

Walk to School Day Thank You

Palmetto Elementary School celebrated iWalk 2012 with a WalkSafe Pedestrian Safety Curriculum.
Students were educated on steps to crossing the street through instructional, modeling and creative lessons. With the help of parent volunteers and Pinecrest Police, our coaches simulated safe pedestrian behavior with students to practice their street-crossing skills on Tuesday, October 2nd. We closed our iWalk experience by celebrating Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 3rd with Prinicpal Torres, our spirited PES Cheerleaders, parents, students, and our Safety Patrol by walking to school as a community from Morning Star Renewal Center on 124 Street to 74th Avenue into our PE Field, where students ended their safe walk by Walking Florida together!!!
Thank you to all our families, faculty, and staff who joined together to teach our students the value of a safe walk and sense of community. Together we succeed! |
