REVEL 2011:
The Philanthropic Party of the Fall

Where were you on Wednesday November 9th? Hopefully you were at REVEL 2011 because once again it was great party that reaffirmed philanthropy need not be limited by age.
Over 500 people packed in the Highline Ballroom for this year's REVEL which received more corporate financial support than ever before. A special thanks to: BV Coastal Estates, Coors Light and Ketel One.
A special thanks to our amazing co-chairs - Andrew Der, Frankie Fox, Justin Huebener, Nicholas Smith and Benjamin Solomon - who made sure this year's party was another smashing success. Likewise we'd like to acknowledge each and every host we had this year who helped drive a great crowd to the event. We're also extremely grateful for the support from our aforementioned corporate sponsors and from our Silver REVELers/Sponsors Patrick Crosetto and Dudley Snyder. Truly, we're thankful for everyone who helped us make REVEL 2011 one of the best REVELs yet!

Donald Harley has named Stonewall as a beneficiary in his will, have you?

As Donald Harley has noted, "[Stonewall Community Foundation] means more to me than any other organization I am involved with, or that I have been involved with, because the work that Stonewall does is just so incredible. Nobody else is doing this, and nobody else targets their grants the way they do."
It's with great enthusiasm that Don Harley has named Stonewall Community Foundation as beneficiary in his will. Who is named as a beneficiary in your will? What will you be remembered for?
By naming Stonewall Community Foundation as a beneficiary in your will you can strengthen our community's LGBTQ endowment and help insure that it will continue to invest in LGBTQ New York long after you're gone. For more information contact Richard Burns, Interim Executive Director, at 212.367.1266 or richard.burns@stonewallfoundation.org.

Ford Foundation Grant Announced

On September 1st, Stonewall Community Foundation received a $150,000 grant from the Ford Foundation. This grant was awarded to Stonewall to help fund a project chronicling how LGBTQ family rights have been fought for over the years. The project is tied to the work of Paula Ettelbrick, Stonewall's immediate past Executive Director, who passed away on October 7th. The project will document the struggle for and evolution of LGBTQ family rights. Stonewall is honored to have been selected by the Ford Foundation as one of the first organizations to receive funding under its new LGBT program initiative.

Stonewall Endorses the
NYC AIDS Memorial Park
Stonewall Community Foundation has joined GMHC, amFAR, SAGE, the Hetrick Martin Institute, the LGBT Center, CBST, the Center for HIV Law and Policy and a host of other LGBTQ organizations in endorsing plans for a New York City AIDS Memorial Park at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 12th Street. We support the creation of a beautiful memorial park to honor the more than 100,000 New Yorkers (gay, bisexual, heterosexual and otherwise) who died from AIDS. The triangular plot near where St. Vincent's once stood is a perfect place given its vicinity to what was once ground zero for the AIDS epidemic in New York.
