Meet our new Director of Development, Rob Howland!

Rob Howland

The Stonewall Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Howland as our new Director of Development.  Rob joins the Stonewall Community Foundation team on the heels of a successful development career at the National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton; a local chapter of the Arthur Ashe founded National Junior Tennis & Learning.  Rob is heavily involved as a volunteer with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), at the local level as USTA NJ Board President and nationally on the USTA LGBT Diversity & Inclusion taskforce.  Rob will no doubt bring a new energy and vitality to Stonewall.  He hopes to meet all of you soon.  Rob can be reached directly at Robert.Howland@stonewallfoundation.org or 212-367-1357.

Congratulations to all our newly weds!

What at one time might have seemed impossible is now possible.  Thirty days after Governor Cuomo signed the Marriage Equality Act into law, LGBTQ New Yorkers now have the ability to wed the one they love.

We still have much work to do in order to ensure our recent gains are not reversed and that we remain on track in pushing for full equality.  But that's where the Stonewall Community Foundation comes in and why your continued support still matters.  No matter what the future brings, the Stonewall Community Foundation will continue to strengthen LGBTQ New York from within by empowering donors, supporting community leaders and building dynamic organizations.

Yet despite the battles we are sure to face - with New York being the largest state to legislatively pass marriage equality and the first state with a Republican controlled Senate to pass marriage equality - we've hit a milestone for LGBTQ people everywhere.  We congratulate our community and we wish nothing but the best for all of our newly weds out there.

About Stonewall Community Foundation:

The Stonewall Community Foundation is the public charity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LBGTQ) New Yorkers. We strengthen the LGBTQ community from within as we empower donors, support community leaders and develop dynamic organizations. We work to build a stronger LGBTQ New York via: inspired and thoughtful giving; leadership and community development; and legacy development through endowments, scholarships, trusts and funds. Since our founding in 1990, the Stonewall Community Foundation has awarded more than $15 million in grants to more than 450 LGBT organizations. Through strategic investment, the Stonewall Community Foundation works not only to make life better for LGBTQ New Yorkers today but also promises to provide for future generations the funds necessary to deal with whatever may come our way.
