Spring 2012

Wagging Tales Banner

Dear Friends and Family,

Happy Spring!

Although Spring doesn't officially begin until next Tuesday, the pollen is here and the flowers are in full bloom.

With the warmer temperatures we've had for the last couple of weeks, I've been able to go to the park every afternoon with
my furry boy Buzz. He's gotten to where he knows when it's 1:00pm and let's me know, "It's time". Who says animals can't tell time?

I hope everyone else is ready for Spring, too! Send me a message via Facebook to let me know how you and your furry family members are enjoying the wonderful weather we've been blessed with.

My Recent Interview on
Spirit Talk with Chris Flemming

I was recently interviewed by Chris Flemming for his radio show, Spirit Talk. You may know Chris from his appearances on A&E's Psychic Kids show or Syfy's Ghost Hunters show.

We talked about how my journey as an Animal Communicator began, my book, Wagging Tales: Every Animal Has a Tale, and about how my Schnauzer, Buzz (shown in the photo), helps me (and Woody continues to help me) with the work that I do with animals.

Calculating a Cat's Age

Cole

Simply multiplying a cat's age by 7 to determine their age in human years is apparently not an accurate calculation.

As published in the January 2012 issue of Bottom Line Personal, there is no simple way to arrive at an accurate age. In the article, they said that a 1-year old cat is equivalent to a 15-year old human and a 17-year old cat is equivalent to a person who is 84 years old.

To determine your cat's age and to read more about the 6 classifications of a cat's life stages, please visit the AAHA web site from which Bottom Line Personal obtained their information for their article.

Do You Leave Your Dog Unattended?

puppy w leash

In a recent article written by Lisa Peterson from the American Kennel Club's Companion Animal Recovery organization, dognapping is on the rise. Reports of stolen dogs have risen by 49% in the US during the first seven months of 2011.

I have been contacted by several families that have had their dogs stolen. So, this statistic is not at all surprising to me.

So, please don't leave your dog(s) unattended at the park, in your backyard, in your car or outside of a building/restaurant while you go inside.
