Wagging Tales Newsletter

Volume 2 Issue 7
July 2009
Dear Friends and Family,

Photo Shoot HeadshotHappy 4th of July! And while fireworks are a lot of fun for us to watch, please remember that most pets are scared of the loud noises that fireworks make when they are detonated. Please arrange to keep your pets indoors and spend time with them if you are going to be home. Leave a television or radio on if you won't be home.
Add some Bach Rescue Remedy to their water or food the day of July 4th. These steps will really help with their anxiousness.

As part of my official book tour, I had the opportunity to visit Denver and San Diego. While in both of these cities, I visited both the Aquarium and Zoo in Denver and the zoo in San Diego.

It was a lot of fun and very interesting to visit all three of these venues from an animal communicator's (my) point of view. One distinct conclusion that I came to, when trying to communicate with everything from fish to gorillas, is that the animals that were used to a lot of human interaction (e.g. monkeys, elephants, etc.) were very open to communicating with me and sharing answers to questions that I asked. However, other animals that didn't have as much human interaction (e.g. rhinos, wombats, etc.) would ask, "What's that?" when I would form a connection with them to ask how they were feeling.

Although the main part of my book tour is now complete, I will still be participating in several book fairs/festivals around the Southeast region throughout the rest of the year and into the beginning of next year. Please continue to check my web site's 'Book Information' page for the latest information about the events in which I will be participating.
Helpful Tip

Animals love their routines just like we do. How many of us don't completely wake up until we've had a cup of coffee in the morning?

So, if your pet's routine is going to change for a day or longer, tell them what to expect. For example, if you are going to work later than usual for a couple of weeks, tell your pet. This will help to ward off any unwanted behavior that your pet may exhibit as its way of protesting the change in its routine.

To read 23 more helpful tips that you can implement with your pet today, pick up a copy of my new book, Wagging Tales: Every Animal has a Tale. You can order my book directly from me through my web site, through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, or any independent bookstore.
