100 Years of Union Treats

Greetings!

Unions are as American as apple pie, Oreos and Peeps marshmallows. That's why Labor 411 is tickled to let you know that one of our favorite Union-made products turns 100 this month - those oh-so dunkable Oreo cookies. Whether it's the extra-creamy Double Stufs, the Golden Oreos or the classic crunchy confection, you can sit down with a big glass of milk and eat them to your heart's content, knowing you're supporting good middle class jobs. And don't forget those other venerable 100-year-old Union-made treats: Fig Newtons (1891), Barnum's Animal Crackers (1902), Mallomars (1913), and Peeps (1920s). Be sure and grab some classic American history this year and fill your Easter basket with your favorite Union-made goodies.

And don't forget to check out our complete list of Classic Union treats below. They're sure to put a smile on your face this holiday. Happy Easter all!

Words of Wisdom

Everyone should have a right to come together to better their economic lot. ... It is a right. The right to have a voice on the job should be every much as strong and as institutionalized as the right to vote and everything else - not to be discriminated against.
