OneWorld Classrooms has recently posted nine new multimedia tours in the Tibet and Chengdu sections of our free online resource, Cultural Profiles of Historic and Modern China. (You will need to enter your username and password for access - see below). Cultural Profiles now features 41 multimedia tours exploring seven Chinese cities/regions. While the text is appropriate for middle and high school grades, elementary grades may simply use the photo slide shows, audio and video. This free resource is made possible by grants from the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation and the Freeman Foundation.

Follow these easy steps to access the new multimedia tours of Tibet and Chengdu featured on OneWorld Classrooms' free Cultural Profiles of Historic and Modern China:

2. Select a timeline (Modern or Historic) and a topic:
3. Explore the photos, text, audio and video in the multimedia tour! TIP: Project the tours onto a screen and travel as a class, or have students explore individually. Assign different tours to different students and have them report back to the rest of the class.
