  • IMPORTANT: Come as a group. Please make every attempt to arrive with your guests so that your whole party will enter the church at the same time. Volunteer to pick up your guests or arrange to meet at a designated spot and drive to church as a group.
If you come in separate vehicles, plan to arrive at the same time so that you can meet easily. Cell phones are great for connecting! A good place to meet in the church would be in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR/Gym), where you will place coats on tables and pick up self-stick name tags.
  • Missing guests? If your guests will not be arriving right away, take the rest of your group into the church where you will be seated in Fellowship Hall and a reserved card will be placed at your table for your missing guest. Please watch for her in the Welcome Center area of Fellowship Hall as we will direct guests to that location in order to meet up with you. If your guests arrive before you do, we will offer to have them wait in this area for you, unless you have instructed them otherwise.
  • What if I want to sit with another group? The hostesses of both groups must make this request together to our Greeters who will direct you to one of the dining rooms. Please note: We will not be saving seats for hostesses and their parties if they have not already arrived. Please take this opportunity to make new friends at your table.
  • Menu: Due to the complexity of serving a meal to 400 women each night, we will not be able to create different meals for people with diet restrictions. However, if your guest is a vegetarian, you may request your server to omit the chicken from her plate and she will be given a larger portion of rice and vegetables.
  • Prayer Counselors: If your guest has been moved by the speaker's talk and wishes to ask questions or has prayer needs, we will have prayer counselors available in the front of the Sanctuary.
  • Take home materials: Be sure to pick up Next Step ideas and opportunities for guests who are seeking more. Find these on a table outside the Sanctuary at the end of our program as well as outside the MPR/Gym as you pick up your coats and head home.
  • Weather restrictions: If you have any doubts about whether the evening will be held due to poor weather conditions, please check the Valley web site, www.valleycommunity.cc, or call the church office (860-673-6826) for a recording to see if there is a cancellation.
