Greetings,

With only a week and a half to go until Christmas in the Valley, we are so excited to see our preparations coming together! We are even more excited to see prayers already answered as we hear about the care you have for your friends and neighbors. Keep praying for them to have soft and receiving hearts for the message that our speaker, Jane Rubietta will give. As she reminds us, we all need to "tumble into Jesus' arms and find the love [we've] been looking for."

In "What's New", learn about the take-home gift everyone will be receiving. In "Hostess Hints," read about our speaker's passion. Also, find out how Adrienne was blessed and has grown through serving. Please note under "Work Session Update" that we'll have extended times when you can invite a friend to come help out.

Happy Thanksgiving from,
The Christmas in the Valley Team
Valley Community Baptist Church

What's New?

Open seating and a gift!

Dinner with open seating is new at the event this year and we'd love to encourage you to arrive with your guests so that you can be seated smoothly and served dinner quickly. If you wold like to sit with another hostess and her group, you must arrive together. Seating escorts will ensure you are seated smoothly and quickly.

Everyone attending will receive a gift that will inspire you to come closer to Christ this Christmas. This gift will be a CD with beautiful and relaxing instrumental Christmas music, and our prayer is that it will not only remind you of our evening together but also help you focus on the reason for the season.

Hostess Hints

Read how Adrienne found courage and inspiration through serving at the Christmas in the Valley work sessions! We hope you'll consider coming to a work session this week to be blessed as you give of your time.

Our speaker, Jane Rubietta, heard about the Christmas in the Valley event last year and secretly wished she could come. Now she is so excited to be a part of it and considers herself to be a part of the Christmas team!Cort
Jane's passion is to see people's hearts restored by the knowledge of the truth: that God absolutely delights in them, that God is crazy about them, that God would give everything on earth to make sure they know they are loved. The problem is, she says, "that we have lost our hearts. We are so busy stamping out fires and tending to a thousand urgencies every day, that we don't remember, don't notice, that our hearts have gotten trampled somewhere in all the stamping."
We need reminding in this busy time that our friends and neighbors may be undergoing difficult circumstances in their lives and we can demonstrate the love of Christ by simply caring, listening and praying for them.

Note: If you have a Christmas in the Valley story to tell, email us at hjames@valleycommunity.cc
