Greetings,
The countdown continues. . .
As we plan for Christmas in the Valley 2008, we pray that you are also preparing for this exciting event. Mark your calendars for December 3, 4 or 5. And don't forget to register online starting October 28 through the Valley Website. This week we are excited to introduce you to our speaker and to provide encouragement as you pray about who you will invite.
Sincerely, The Christmas in the Valley Team Valley Community Baptist Church

Have you heard that Jane Rubietta will be our speaker?
Jane Rubietta is an international speaker, author and animated story teller. As we come closer this Christmas, Jane will offer grace and guidance for real issues in a deep and funny way, with gentleness and refreshing honesty. When Jane invites us to look below the surface, we will leave with hope and a new sense of God's heart. Expect to laugh! Expect to weep. Expect to live again!
Please view Jane's personal message to Valley women in a video on the Valley Website as we prepare our hearts for this event. |

Hostess Hints
Afraid of Hearing No? Don't Get Discourged!
"I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ." Philemon 1:6
Everyone was uniquely created for a relationship with their heavenly Father, so each individual is on a spiritual journey. Some enter this journey as children, wide-eyed and certain that life is full of good possibilities. Others enter later in life, emerging from broken relationships, broken homes and broken dreams. A few people even become bitter about spiritual things or try to prove through intellectual arguments that God cannot exist.
But those are the very individuals that God so dearly loves. Isaiah 59:1 tells us "Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save." No one has fallen too far to be picked up and embraced by His loving arms of grace. As you pray for your friends, may you trust in God's saving power through Jesus Christ our Lord. Don't be discouraged if one friend cannot attend. Continue to pray that God will move in her life in His timing and prayerfully invite another. |
