Christmas already?
Christmas in the Valley is a special event designed for you to invite a friend who needs to come closer
to Christ. Enjoy a lovely, relaxed evening that includes delicious food,
message from the speaker, and program. Our theme this year is: Come Closer This Christmas.
It's coming right up on December 3, 4 and 5.
Each week we're putting together a weekly update to let you know what you can be doing as we approach the event. Let's come closer together each week to find out what God has in store for us this year.

Have you heard about Christmas in the Valley online registration?
Starting October 28, you will be able to buy tickets for you and up to four guests through the Valley website. Those without internet access will be able to come to the church for assistance. More information on buying tickets will be in future updates and on the website. |

Where do I begin?
"Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1
Prayerfully consider:
1. Who will I invite? What friend or friends would I like to extend God's love to this year? It is a good idea to have more than one in mind in case a friend has a conflict. Pray that their hearts will be open to my sincere invitation. Pray that God will show me the right opportunity to extend the invitation and give me the courage to follow through.
2. How will I invite them? Try to invite a friend in advance so that her calendar will not already be full. Ask God how He would have you extend the invitation. Often, it is a good idea to ask in person, to have an invitation available for your friend to look at, and to let her think about it for a while if she needs to. Follow up with a phone call or coffee date to confirm your plans. (Don't just settle it over email. When you are extending an invitation, a personal connection means a lot). |

Work Session Update
Work sessions will be on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings throughout October and November. In the weeks leading up to the event, we will be working together on decorations, gifts, invitations and other projects. No special skills are needed. This is a great place to become involved, meet new friends, and help make this year's outreach the very best! Please join in the fun and bring a friend!
