Easter is approaching!
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday when we commemorate Jesus entry into Jerusalem, heralding the last  phase of his ministry on Earth. Easter is rebirth, renewal, new life, new hope and the death of death. Here at the Big Easy MCC we will be renewing our commitment to resurrection, and in the next few weeks will be taking on new members, renewing our website, and when the weather is reliably warmer offering the opportunity for baptism to all who feel ready to make that commitment to the new life.

Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm Experiencing God and Book Study ('This Present Darkness') group begin, full details and sign up sheets available at church or email the pastor.
 
Saturday April 4th - Membership Class, 9.00am - 3.30pm at the church office. See or contact Trent or Garrett to register.

Continuing Tuesdays at 6.30pm Financial Peace University* (a major pastoral tool being offered through the church to help get a grip on those finances and break free of cycles of debt and overspend)
 
Sunday 5th Palm Sunday  5.00pm at church
 
Sunday 12th Easter Sunday - service of the resurrection with something special for afterwards! This is a good opportunity to bring your friends to church.
 
*We are offering this solely as a service and practical help to our members and those in the wider community, we make no money out of it!

CHOIR REHEARSALS!!!!

Choir rehearsal is on Thursday, and we need you!!  You do not have to read music, in fact, many of our praise and worship songs and songs from the gospel tradition are from an unwritten musical tradition, and are easier and more effective to learn by ear - so do not be put off! If you are interested in joining the choir, give Ken a call on 504 638 6178

Our collection last week was again @$1650, keeping us just about on track for our budget. Attendance was 63. 8,859 people have now viewed our online video sermons on YouTube, and our website has had a total of 80,800 hits, not including web crawlers and robots.
Prayer requests...
Please keep in your prayers... John Jill and their child (now with God), Corey, Alan, Robert Haines,  Yvonne, Paris, Jessie, Misty Bohon, Lola, Lillian, Doug, Sarah and their lost child. We pray for all the world leaders as they meet in London this week - that some ease may be found for the world's burdens. We also pray for Mark Fong and his family as they grieve his Aunt Dot. Please also pray for our continued growth and outreach.
