10,000 Registry Matches! |
The PASC Homecare Registry has operated successfully since June 2002. It provides a FREE and voluntary service through which IHSS consumers and providers are referred to each other so that they themselves can decide whether they wish to form an employment relationship. All Registry services are delivered within the parameters of the Individual Provider (IP) Mode of service, which guarantees an IHSS consumer's right to hire, assign work, supervise, train, and, if necessary, fire the homecare provider. The IP Mode also guarantees a provider's right to accept or refuse any homecare assignment.
We are delighted to announce that last October 31, 2007 the PASC Homecare Registry celebrated one of its greatest accomplishments yet: It effected 10,000 verified consumer-provider matches. This milestone has brought great satisfaction to the staff and we believe that you will be pleased equally to learn that the Registry has brought so many IHSS consumers and providers together.
In addition to our Registry matching services, PASC offers a wide array of services to IHSS consumers and providers, including referral outcome follow-up, assistance with IHSS-related inquiries and issues, information on consumer rights and responsibilities, training on how to interview, hire, and supervise homecare providers, assistance with information on how to place discounted or low-rate want ads in local newspapers, assistance with late or missing timesheets and checks, etc.
